The iPrism Web Filter offers the ability for IT departments to share administrative task when managing the iPrism. This allows for a better use of your IT resources by enabling the efficient delegation of on-going Web filtering policy administration to others in your organization. The iPrism Web Filter makes it easy with the Delegated Administration feature accessed through Central Management.

The iPrism's delegated administration feature provides benefits that can contribute to the efficiency of your overall IT management strategy by letting you assign roles and privileges that help you operate more efficiently:

It enables the distribution of administrative responsibility within your IT department so that you can establish a defined set of responsibilities.
This feature allows you to more efficiently manage your IT department by decentralizing administrative authority.
It assures that you maintain the security level of your department by controlling administrative responsibility

This chart outlines the Roles and Privileges you can assign within your team with Delegated Administration:

Role		Privileges
Supervisor		ALL
GPA Global Policy Administrator		Access to ALL policy (profiles), including Lock ACL. No access to System or Authentication setup.
DPA Delegated Partition Administrator		Access to partition-specific policy (profiles). No access to Lock ACL, System or Authentication setup.
iPrism-wide priveleged user		User priveleges are carried over to iPrism as a "role" which can be configured.
Partition privileged user		User privileges are carried over to iPrism, configurable, but limited to the partition of the user. If the user has reporting privilege, it applies to their partition only.
